She started her career as an RN at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, prior to relocating with her family to Texas, where she practiced as a surgical intensive care nurse at world renowned MD Anderson Cancer Hospital. In the years since, her career has encompassed medical case management and home health..
Since her first medical mission to Haiti, Myrlande has been an unstoppable force, earning the admiration of all of us who work with her. She has a clear vision for how Angel Wings International can contribute to the long term development of health care and education for the people of Haiti, and it guides our entire organization.

Andy Jeanty is a founding member and Vice President of Angel Wings International, Andy's passion for our mission is boundless, and he participates in every facet of planning and development, including fundraising, logistics, operations, and clinic/hospital development.
Born and raised in Port au Prince, Andy came to the US at age 19 for his studies. He would later return to Haiti to tutor disadvantaged individuals from 5 to 60 years old in reading, writing and math.
Andy graduated magna cum laude from Florida University with his degree in Management Information Systems and Finance. He has since broken sales records and become a "Hall of Fame" memeber for Cutco Cutlery, Inc.
Andy speaks four languages: English, French, Spanish and Creole. In his free time, his passion is traveling the world.

Angel Wings International
Carl Drew is a founding member and Director of Development of Angel Wings International. When the earthquake of 2010 hit Haiti, Carl joined in to keep things moving forward during the emergency response phase.
While in Haiti, Carl pulled our team together to form a vision of what the future could hold for AWI. The goal was ambitious, but so is Carl! His vision for AWI's first permanent clinic is on track, and the clinic is scheduled to open in the near future!
Carl graduated Wabash College with a degree in Pshychology. He went on to study film production at NYU. He has run several small business, and has been inducted into Vector Marketing's business "Hall of Fame".
Carl is also an award-winning adventure filmmaker, speaker, and best selling author. His films have taken him on journeys around the globe: kayaking the Florida Everglades for 21 days, climbing over 50 mountains, bicycling across the USA, and attempting a summit of 28,240 foot K2 in Pakistan.
A native of Indiana, Carl resides in Florida with his supportive wife, Heather-- who is also an Angel Wings volunteer!

Joe Zenevitch initially joined AWI to manage the project to design and build Angel Wing's first permanent medical clinic. Since that point in time, he has become a major contributor in guiding the direction of AWI’s clinic development and major events.
Joe has worked in the field of software development for over 20 years, managing multi-million dollar software development projects for companies ranging from the Fortune 500 to non-profits. He has a passion for helping charitable organizations and has worked with groups such as UNICEF, Habitat for Humanity, Americares, Shelter International and the American Red Cross. He is excited to apply his skills and experience to the clinic project and has plunged himself into the challenge.
Joe resides in Ridgefield, CT with his wife, Lisa and their three children. When not running in twenty directions, Joe enjoys home improvement projects, water skiing, and playing rugby.

Dr. Robert Abello, originally from Barcelona, Spain, obtained his undergraduate training in Boston, Massachusetts. He subsequently worked in different research projects in the fields of physiology and endocrinology and he became author and co-author of many publications in medical journals. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and he followed with an emergency medicine residency in New Orleans, Louisiana.
An accomplished athlete with three marathons and multiple triathlons, he has found his passion in integrative medicine, a multidisciplinary approach to the human body, and is the Presdident of ReGenyx Integrative Medicine in Coral Gables, Florida.
He also continues to practice as an emergency physician.

Dr. Christian Le graduated from the University of Miami College of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residencies at the University of Miami as well.
Dr. Chris has experience as an international disaster medical coordinator in Vietnam, Sri Lanka and now Haiti. He currently is the Medical Director and acting President of a twelve physician hospitalist corporation located in Monterey, California and commutes weekly to his home in Portland, Oregon.
He loves the outdoors and is an avid surfer, skiier, paraglider and hiker. He is also an accomplished guitarist.
Dr. Le also sits on the board of the Smile Group, a French nonprofit organization that provides support for children with HIV in Vietnam.

Lisa Gonzalez-Abello, MD, originally of Barcelona, Spain, graduated from the University of Miami College of Medicine and completed her Residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Dr. Abello is a founding member of Angel Wings International, and is our senior pediatric advisor.
She currently practices pediatric and adolescent medicine in South Florida.

Dr. Hostin graduated from NYU School of Medicine, and completed her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynelcology at New York College of Medicine. She has practiced in New York since 1997.
Dr. Hostin is a founding member of Angel Wings International. She brings considerable experience in international women's health work, and has volunteered her expertise in Ghana, Niger and Argentina for other international organizations.

Martin Elie was born and raised in Haiti, and came to the United States in 1999 for school. He graduated from St. John's University, NY with a degree in pharmacy, and soon after moved to Minnesota.
He now works at St. John's Hospital in Minnesota.
