Lisa Gonzalez-Abello, MD, originally of Barcelona, Spain, graduated from the University of Miami College of Medicine and completed her Residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. 

Dr. Abello is a founding member of Angel Wings International, and is our senior pediatric advisor.

She currently practices pediatric and adolescent medicine in South Florida.

Helen Hostin, MD

Dr. Hostin graduated from NYU School of Medicine, and completed her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynelcology at New York College of Medicine. She has practiced in New York since 1997.

Dr. Hostin is a founding member of Angel Wings International. She brings considerable experience in international women's health work, and has volunteered her expertise in Ghana, Niger and Argentina for other international organizations.

Muriel  Clermont

Muriel comes to AWI with the skills needed to administer amazing customer service and deliver follow through on key tasks, record keeping, and sponsorship scouting.  

Muriel grew up in Haiti, and moved to the states to help provide an abundant life for her family.  She is full of life and passion, and has a great compassion for not only helping Haiti, but for helping people in general 

When we have an administrative task that nobody else can handle, we can depend on Muriel to come to the rescue with a solution and FAST!

Lindsay is a professional photographer and President of Encompass Photography, serving the greater Philadelphia area.

In her astounding photos on our website, she successfully captures the hope and challenge of family life in Haiti. Her images are authentic, and capture story, environment, and character in a photojournalistic, documentary style. 

She is a summa cum laude graduate of Houghton College in Houghton, New York.

Andy Jeanty

Andy's passion for our mission is boundless. He participates in every facet of planning, with a focus on: logistics, operations, fundraising, and clinic/hospital development.

Born and raised in Port au Prince, Andy came to the US at age 19 for his studies. He would later return to Haiti to tutor disadvantaged individuals from 5 to 60 years old in reading, writing and math. 

Andy graduated magna cum laude from Florida University with his degree in Management Information Systems and Finance. He has since broken sales records and become a "Hall of Fame" memeber for Cutco Cutlery, Inc. 

Andy speaks four languages: English, French, Spanish and Creole. In his free time, his passion is traveling the world.

Carl Drew

Carl's highly talented skill sets and his vision for our mission are both inspiring and impressive.  When the earthquake of 2010 hit Haiti, Carl blessed us with his presence and began to mobilize supplies and teams to help AWI provide medical aid.  While in Haiti, he pulled our team together and cast a vision of what the future could hold for AWI.  He then went to work on that mission, and continues to fully devote his life's energy to help us make that dream a reality for AWI and the people of Haiti.

Carl graduated from Wabash College with a degree in Psychology and Chemistry.  He has since, traveled the world over, run several businesses throughout the US, been inducted into Vector Marketing's business "Hall of Fame", been certified as both and EMT and a Wilderness First Responder, and has been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow for "service to others" from Rotary International.  

A native of Indiana, Carl and his supportive wife, Heather (who is also an AWI volunteer), see life as a GREAT ADVENTURE!

Joe Zenevitch

Joe initially joined AWI to manage the project to design and build Angel Wing's first permanent medical clinic. Since that point in time, he has become a major contributor in guiding the direction of AWI’s clinic development and major events.  

Joe has worked in the field of software development for over 20 years, managing multi-million dollar software development projects for companies ranging from the Fortune 500 to non-profits. He has a passion for helping charitable organizations and has worked with groups such as UNICEF, Habitat for Humanity, Americares, Shelter International and the American Red Cross. He is excited to apply his skills and experience to the clinic project and has plunged himself into the challenge.

Joe resides in Danbury, CT with his wife, Lisa and their three children. When not running in twenty directions, Joe enjoys home improvement projects, water skiing, and playing rugby.

Myrlande Affriany, RN

Originally from Haiti, Myrlande obtained her BSN at (LIU) Long Island University in Brooklyn NY. She started her career as an RN at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, prior to relocating with her family to Texas, where she practiced as a surgical intensive care nurse at world renowned MD Anderson Cancer Hospital. In the years since, her career has encompassed medical case management and home health.. 

Since her first medical mission to Haiti, Myrlande has been an unstoppable force, earning the admiration of all of us who work with her. She has a clear vision for how Angel Wings International can contribute to the long term development of health care and education for the people of Haiti, and it guides our entire organization.

Tara Shishmanian

Tara is a student of Business Communication and Event Planning at Stevenson university in Maryland.

Tara joined the AWI team, after hearing so much about us from her summer employment office.  She continued to come back to us, asking how she could help.... and we're sure glad she did.

Tara is serving as one of the lead coordinators for our build mission trips and is responsible for coordinating the communication with all our volunteers.  Previous to AWI she spent time in New Orleans helping to rebuild homes.  


Christian Le, MD

Dr. Christian Le graduated from the University of Miami College of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residencies at the University of Miami as well. 

Dr. Chris has experience as an international disaster medical coordinator in Vietnam, Sri Lanka and now Haiti. He currently is the Medical Director and acting President of a twelve physician hospitalist corporation located in Monterey, California and commutes weekly to his home in Portland, Oregon. 

He loves the outdoors and is an avid surfer, skiier, paraglider and hiker. He is also an accomplished guitarist.

Dr. Le also sits on the board of the Smile Group, a French nonprofit organization that provides support for children with HIV in Vietnam.

Dr. Robert Abello, originally from Barcelona, Spain, obtained his undergraduate training in Boston, Massachusetts. He subsequently worked in different research projects in the fields of physiology and endocrinology and he became author and co-author of many publications in medical journals. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and he followed with an emergency medicine residency in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

An accomplished athlete with three marathons and multiple triathlons, he has found his passion in integrative medicine, a multidisciplinary approach to the human body, and is the Presdident of ReGenyx Integrative Medicine in Coral Gables, Florida.

He also continues to practice as an emergency physician.

Jordan fell in love with AWI when he saw how dedicated one of his friends was to the case.  Since that time, Jordan has been helping Angel Wings with everything that involves fundraising, tracking donations, and fulfilling our "Pave the Way" campaign.  

Jordan's start in the fundraising world, began when he was in the 3rd Grade.  Way back then, he took to his local neighborhood raising funds for the UNITED WAY, by placing orders for wrapping paper!  It was a youthful venture, which has lead to a lifetime sales and eventually lead him to helping Angel Wings.

Eric is a Graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, where he studied Human Services.  However, we believe he  majored in volunteering, because.... he has worked with dozens of non-profits including starting his own organization called “Project Volunteers”.  

Eric received the "Marty Domitrovich Triple Crown of Service", from his former employer,  

Eric's life mission is simple: Make this world a better place for everyone he meets.  His life motto: You can never have a bad day….because your bad days are other people’s good days…so how can you have a “bad” day.

Dr. Tami Haliniewski, served as a nurse for AWI shortly after the Haiti earthquake of 2010.  Since that point in time, Tami has been dedicated to volunteering on every trip she can make with us to Haiti.  

On short notice, or when there is some urgent medical need to be taken care of, Tami makes herself available to fill the need.

She currently practices Emergency Medicine in south Florida.
